Sketches of HP's upoming PalmPad tablet PCs have leaked, along with a few details of what we can expect, according to ExpertReviews. There will apparently be four versions, all of which will run webOS 2.5.1, with one of them solely targetting the eduction sector. The spec is expected to mirror Apple's iPad.
TweakTown reviewed the Seagate BlackArmor NAS 420 network storage device. It received a rating of 89 percent, commended for its low price, which is one of the lowest available for such a product, but that comes at the price of less features than more expensive offerings.
The HTC EVO 4G smartphone was reviewed at HotHardware, receiving the Editor's Choice award for its proto-4G WiMax offering, large 4.3-inch screen and generous spec. Sprint's additional $10 per month fee, the limited availability of WiMax, and the heavier form of the device were its main drawbacks.
HardwareHeaven reviewed the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD sound card, giving it 10 out of 10 in all categories. The reviewer was so impressed that it ended up earning a Gold Award, Performance Award and Value Award for its superior sound quality and reasonable price.
The Asus Eee Note EA800 was reviewed by Bit-tech. It's kind of a tablet, but more of a digital notepad for writers and students. It received a rating of 7 out of 10, with cheers given for its ability to keep up with handwriting, but its poor screen contrast, lack of colour, and poor features brought it down a bit.
Gigabyte is set to launch a massive motherboard, according to Softpedia. A picture is circulating of the gigantic box that is set to contain the monster, which is part of the 6 Series of “Ultra Durable” motherboards. Some details have been omitted, but we can probably expect Intel Sandy Bridge support.
